If you’re from New Jersey, or even the surrounding area, then there’s a good chance you’ve heard of Red Bank. Maybe you’ve even visited its downtown. If you did, then you may have seen some of Proven Roofing’s work in the Red Bank area. We’ve been proud to provide roof repair, roof replacement, and gutter repair to the area for years. Let us show you around!

When was Red Bank founded?

On March 10, 1908

Who were the Native people who first lived in Red Bank?

Prior to the arrival of European colonists, the Lenape were living in what is now Red Bank. In the 1700s, European settlers displaced the Lenape, and, later, the American Revolutionary War and the independence of the United States pushed the Lenape even further west. Most Lenape were forcibly moved to the Indian Territory, which is in present-day Oklahoma and neighboring areas, in the 1800s because of the Indian Removal Act. At the time of the 2010 Census, 118 people who identified as Native American lived in Red Bank.

What is the origin of the name Red Bank?

Red Bank gets its name from the Navesink River’s red soil banks.

What is the history of Red Bank?

Red Bank was originally made a town in March 1870 out of parts of adjacent Shrewsbury Township. In March 1878, Red Bank was made Shrewsbury City and was again a part of Shrewsbury. If the temperature is greater than 95 °F or less than 32 °F, which does happen occasionally in Red Bank, then Proven Roofing is unlikely to send out its crew for a job. Those aren’t ideal conditions for roofing, so those temperatures may compromise the integrity of your new roof, gutter project, and even our crew.

If the temperature is too low, an asphalt shingle can become brittle enough to break in a roofer’s hand; if the temperature is too high, a roofer could damage an asphalt shingle just by stepping on it. Additionally, if it’s too hot the roof surface becomes a dangerous place to be, even if it’s a flat roof, because of the risk of heat exhaustion and dehydration.

Luckily, Red Bank has plenty of days ofweather conditions perfect for roof installation. Homeowners also don’t have to worry about having themost energy-efficient roof color because Red Bank doesn’t get enough full days of sun for it to make a difference.
